Kavach begins field testing its safety band

The group’s personal safety business has moved from bench prototypes to multi-hour live testing of its wearable band, measuring what the hardware actually does outside the lab before any pilot is scheduled.

Kavach, the ARCG group’s personal safety technology business, has begun field testing its wearable safety band under live conditions. Testing runs bands continuously over several hours and records what the device reports: location accuracy while the wearer is moving and while stationary, behaviour at the edge of network coverage, and battery life at different reporting intervals.

The purpose is to establish measured figures rather than vendor specifications. Where the two disagree, the measured figure is the one that will be published and the one the product is designed around.

Kavach remains at prototype stage. Pilot deployments are being prepared, and the group has not set a commercial launch date. Field testing is the gate that decides when it does.
